FOUNDER

The founder of Victain, Claudia Goncalves, was born and raised in Rhode Island to immigrant parents from the Cape Verde islands in West Africa. Growing up, Claudia found solace in watching anime and superhero movies, as she faced bullying and humiliation at school. With her parents working long hours to provide for the family, Claudia didn't have much emotional support. However, these shows and movies became an outlet for her and played a significant role in shaping her identity and aspirations.

Witnessing her loved ones and the world grappling with hardships and illnesses, Claudia always pondered on how she could make a difference and change the world. In November 2020, she sat down at home and contemplated combining the words "victory" and "pain" into a single word. This led to the birth of Victain.

Claudia's vision for Victain goes beyond just creating products. She hopes that when individuals wear or own Victain items, they are reminded of their inner strength and resilience. By embracing the warrior spirit within, they can overcome the toughest storms and find victory in their lives. Claudia wishes for Victain to inspire hope and motivation during the darkest times, serving as a beacon of strength and perseverance.

Recognizing that everyone encounters pain in their lives, Claudia encourages people not to lose hope and to keep pushing forward. She believes that no matter the challenges faced, victory can be found. Together, as wearers and supporters of Victain, individuals are part of a community that understands the struggles and is committed to persevering and overcoming them. We are Victain.
